Heartland hoa

Overview

Officers and Board members of the Heartland Homeowners Association serve as volunteers. Any person elected as an officer or a Board member of the HHOA is expected to conduct him or herself in a professional manner. The goal is to have 9 to 12 homeowners who reside in the Heartland to be elected to serve on the Board on one-year terms. Elections are held the second week of September each year.

General Guidelines for Officers

President:

  • Presides over all meetings of the Board of Directors

  • Presides over all meetings of the Association

  • Maintains order at all meetings

  • Resolves all issues of the Association

  • Signs all legal documents of the Association 

  • Directs and supports all Committee Chairpersons

  • Responsible for maintaining all past records of the Association

  • Responsible for following Roberts Rules of Order while conducting meetings

Vice President:

  • ​Presides over meetings in the absence of the President

  • Follow-up on projects and duties voted on by the Association

  • Knowledgeable of all legal obligations of the Association

  • Knowledgeable of all insurance issues of the Association

  • Responsible for insurance claims and meeting with the Insurance Agent

  • Adherence to the By Laws of the Association for the Board

 

Secretary:

  • ​Responsible for taking and reading the Minutes of each Heartland HOA board meeting

  • Responsible for correspondence as directed by the Board, President or Vice President

  • Responsible for the storage of historical Minutes, etc. by year.
